Fabrication Quality Engineer

This position is centered on providing Quality Engineering Support within plant operations for the fabrication areas. The Fabrication Quality Engineer is responsible for performing problem analysis of critical processes along with machine capability and processes. Additional responsibilities include directing process control technicians.

  • Continuous cost and productivity improvement

  • Critical process control and?quality control plans

  • Project management

  • Quality assurance

  • Problem solving techniques

  • Gage design and techniques

  • Processing of returns to suppliers and receiving corrective actions for suppliers assigned


  • 2+ years experience in manufacturing environment preferred

  • SAP knowedge preferred

  • Must have experience with statistics and how statistics are applied to a manufacturing environment

  • Strongly prefer experience with Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing

Skills and Abilities:

  • The ideal candidate must be a hands on contributor with strong background in Quality Engineering related to sheet metal forming

  • Ability to use spreadsheets, database, word processing software, particularly MS Office products

  • Must have ability to prepare data entry screens and sort/index data searches

  • Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 requirements

  • Excellent problem-solving ability and mechanical aptitude


  • Associates Degree in Engineering or Technology with some background in Industrial or Mechanical Technology required

  • Bachelors in Engineering or Technology preferred

  • Equivalent years of experience may be acceptable in place of a degree

?Physical Requirements:

  • Position involves sitting long periods, standing, manual dexterity, stooping, bending and minimal lifting

  • Some traveling may be required

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
